Construction News:  Updated September 10, 2025

Dear Parishioners,

As you look to the south of our parish property, you will notice that the red iron for our new Pantry building is now in place and the addition of metal wall sheathing has begun.  It may take several days to get the walls and roof sheathed and insulated.  Door frames have been built and doors are being installed.  In two or three weeks, the mechanical and electrical contractors will be able to start their rough-ins.  Once the building is enclosed, the parking lot will be paved.

Visible progress on the Parish Center Addition can be seen, as well.  The framing of the exterior walls of the first floor is finished and work has begun on framing the second floor.  After the framing is complete, the rafters will be set in place.  The goal is to have the building closed in by the middle of October so that construction workers will be protected from fall and winter weather as they continue their work.

During the week of September 22, tile will be set in the second floor bathrooms.  The addition of toilet partitions, fixtures and more will follow, with the hope that these bathrooms will be available for use in mid-October.

Lights have been installed in the second floor conference room and workers will be adding insulation and sheetrock to the walls.  Expected completion is mid-October.  OCIA classes, Faith Formation classes (until other classrooms are available), and other activities are already being scheduled for this space.

The three second floor window openings that face the parking lot have been filled in, since the new bathrooms are in that area.  An opening is being cut from the gathering space (behind the temporary wall) to the second floor construction area of the Parish Center, allowing workers easier access.

Once again, we express our appreciation to the construction workers for their patience during our required quiet times when we celebrate daily Masses, funeral Masses and other activities.  Our parish members’ faithfulness to the sacraments of the Church has been a foundation of this parish since its inception, and we are confident that our Lord, through the intercession of Our Lady of Grace, has blessed our project as a result of this faithfulness.  May we continue to grow together in God’s grace as these projects proceed, and may our faith be a beacon to others who seek meaning for their lives, which may only be found by opening our hearts to God and following his plan for us.

Sincerely in Christ,

Fr. Adam Maus
